Sergio’s goals are very simple; continued family health & happiness. The most challenging aspect has been learning to accept failure, since success doesn’t come gift-wrapped, “It has to be nurtured; you take your lumps, get up and start again.” As Sergio says, “you learn to lick your wounds, maintain your posture, and pray for a better day.” Speaking from experience, he’s a firm believer that customer’s come first, they are the bosses.

His favorite saying is “Believe in what you do. Do what you believe in.” This being said, it is no wonder that he is a unique individual and fights for what he believes. He is actively involved in community organization and serves his community of El Paso. Among his various accomplishments are: Charter President of the El Paso Sunrise Rotary Club, Past President of the El Paso Independent School District Board of Trustee, and current Vice-President of the El Paso Independent School District Board of Trustees. He assisted in establishing a Professional Regional Tennis Center in Northeast El Paso, was instrumental in implementing distance learning technology in more than half of our elementary schools and currently a “Partner in Education”.

Other community accomplishments include Past President and Legislative Liaison for the Far West Texas School Board Association.
